This Privacy Policy describes how MamashMarket ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "App") to order groceries for delivery or in-store pickup. By creating an account or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Information We Collect
Personally Identifiable Information (PII)
MamashMarket may collect the following information from users of the App: first name, last name, delivery address (including building name, floor, and apartment number where applicable), area and city, phone and contact numbers, email address, payment details (processed through secure third-party payment providers), and GPS location (when the App is in use on your mobile device) — collectively, "Personally Identifiable Information" or "PII".
In addition, MamashMarket may collect information regarding your account activity, including past grocery orders, shopping lists, favorite stores or products, dietary preferences you choose to share, delivery or pickup preferences, customer service inquiries, product and store reviews, and loyalty or promotional program participation.
Non-Personally Identifiable Information (Non-PII)
Non-Personally Identifiable Information ("Non-PII") is aggregated, demographic, or technical information that does not reveal your specific identity. We and our third-party service providers may collect Non-PII such as your general location, device type, operating system, browser type, language preference, gender, and date of birth range. We may also aggregate PII in a manner such that the end product does not personally identify you — for example, by using PII to calculate the percentage of our users located within a particular city district.
IP Addresses and Technical Data
We use IP addresses and related technical data for purposes such as calculating App usage levels, helping diagnose server problems, preventing fraud, and administering the App. We may also use and disclose IP addresses for all the purposes for which we use and disclose PII. We treat IP addresses, server log files, and related information as Non-PII, except where we are required to treat them otherwise under applicable law.
Location Information
With your permission, we collect precise GPS location from your mobile device to match you with nearby partner stores, calculate accurate delivery fees and times, enable real-time order tracking, and verify delivery addresses. You may disable location services at any time through your device settings, though some features of the App (such as delivery) may not function properly without location access.
2. How We Use Your Information
MamashMarket uses PII for the following purposes:
- To create and maintain your user account.
- To process, fulfill, and deliver your grocery orders — whether via home delivery or in-store pickup.
- To communicate with you about your orders, account, and App services.
- To charge you for purchases made through the App and process refunds where applicable.
- To offer you additional services, promotions, discounts, and special offers (you may opt out of promotional communications at any time).
- To personalize your experience, including product recommendations based on past purchases.
- To provide customer support and respond to your inquiries.
- To enforce our Terms of Service and protect against fraud, unauthorized transactions, and other illegal activity.
- To comply with legal obligations.
Because Non-PII does not personally identify you, we may use such information for any lawful purpose, and we reserve the right to share Non-PII with our affiliates and third parties. If we combine Non-PII with PII (for example, combining your name with your location), the combined information will be treated as PII under this Policy.
3. Order and Delivery Information
Personal information required during the order process includes your name, delivery address (or selected pickup location), phone number, email address, and payment details. This information is used to identify you, prepare your order, and complete delivery or pickup.
When you place an order, your order contents, special instructions (such as substitution preferences or delivery notes), first and last name, delivery address, and telephone number will be shared with the partner store fulfilling your order and, where applicable, with the delivery driver assigned to your order — strictly to the extent necessary to prepare, package, and deliver your items or make them available for pickup.
We have agreements with all partner stores and delivery providers that restrict further disclosure or processing of personal information provided to them by us. Your personal information will be used to notify you of your order status (e.g., order confirmed, being prepared, out for delivery, ready for pickup, delivered). Your personal information will not be shared with any other business partners or affiliates for their own purposes without your permission. It is treated as confidential and will not be disclosed to outside parties unless required by applicable law.
4. Navigation and Clickstream Data
As you use the App, we gather navigational and clickstream data — such as which features you use, how long you stay on a particular page, which products you browse, what you add to and remove from your cart, and your search terms. This information generally does not reveal your identity or link directly to you personally.
We use this information to complete, support, and analyze your purchases; to facilitate and improve your use of the App; to comply with legal requirements; to serve (directly or through a third party) relevant product recommendations and advertising content on the App or on a third party's platform; and for internal analytics. This information may be disclosed to our staff and to third parties involved in the completion of your transaction, the delivery of your order, and the analysis and support of your use of the App.
5. Marketing
We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes without your explicit consent. We may combine your information with information we collect from other companies and use it to improve and personalize our services, content, and advertising. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time by using the "unsubscribe" link in our emails or by adjusting the notification preferences in your account settings.

We may disclose your information to our staff and to third parties involved in the preparation and delivery of your order, payment processing, and the analysis and support of your use of the App. We may also disclose your information if necessary to protect our legal rights, if the information relates to actual or threatened harmful conduct, or if we have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary to:
- Comply with the requirements of applicable law, governmental orders, court orders, or legal process served on us.

How PII is Disclosed
We may disclose PII in the following circumstances:
- To third-party service providers who provide services such as app and website hosting, data analysis, payment processing, order fulfillment, delivery logistics, IT services, customer support, email delivery, SMS messaging, and similar services, strictly to enable them to perform those services on our behalf.
- To partner grocery stores and delivery personnel, as required to fulfill your order.
- To third-party sponsors of promotions or giveaways (whether or not such promotions are hosted by us), or otherwise in accordance with the rules applicable to such promotion. You should carefully review the rules of each promotion in which you participate.
- To an affiliate or other third party in the event of any reorganization, merger, acquisition, sale, joint venture, assignment, transfer, or other disposition of all or any portion of our business, assets, or equity (including without limitation in connection with any bankruptcy or similar proceedings).
- As we believe appropriate: (a) under applicable law, including laws outside your country of residence; (b) to comply with legal process; (c) to respond to requests from public and governmental authorities, including those outside your country of residence; (d) to enforce our Terms and Conditions; (e) to protect our operations or those of any of our affiliates; (f) to protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property, and/or that of our affiliates, you, or others; and (g) to permit us to pursue available remedies or limit the damages that we may sustain.
7. User-Generated Content
Content you post through the App — such as product or store reviews, ratings, public comments, and certain social networking preferences — may be viewed by other users of the App or by the general public. Accordingly, MamashMarket cannot ensure the privacy of any PII you voluntarily include in such user-generated content. Please use discretion and avoid posting sensitive personal information in public areas of the App.
8. Protection and Security of Your Personal Information
Our App has secure pages for the collection of user information, and most critical data is stored in encrypted form. We use a combination of technical, organizational, and administrative measures to help protect the confidentiality, security, and integrity of data stored on our systems. Our servers use Transport Layer Security (TLS) and industry-standard encryption technology supported by all modern browsers, including Google Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Microsoft Edge.
Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet or data storage system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Please do not send us sensitive information through unencrypted email. If you have reason to believe that your interaction with us is no longer secure — for example, if you feel that the security of your account has been compromised — you must immediately notify us using the contact details in the "Contacting Us" section below. If you choose to notify us by physical mail, this may delay our ability to respond to the problem.
9. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account remains active and for a reasonable period thereafter, in order to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce our agreements. Order records, payment records, and transaction history may be retained for longer periods where required by applicable tax, commercial, or consumer protection laws. When your data is no longer required, we will securely delete or anonymize it.

- Access — to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.

The App is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18 (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information without parental consent, please contact us and we will take steps to delete that information.
13. International Data Transfers
MamashMarket operates primarily in Libya and may serve users in surrounding regions. Your personal information may be stored or processed on servers located outside your country of residence, including in countries whose data protection laws may differ from those of your home country. Where we transfer your data internationally, we take reasonable steps to ensure that it remains protected in accordance with this Policy.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
MamashMarket may update or amend this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will publish the updated version within the App and update the "Effective Date" at the top of this Policy. Where required by applicable law, we will notify you of significant changes through the App or by email. Your continued use of the App after any such update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.

You can update your personal information at any time by logging into your account and accessing your profile, where you can update your name, delivery addresses, phone number, email address, payment methods, communication preferences, and other account details.
